The 13th Annual Union of Oromo Evangelical Churches Spiritual Conference was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota from July 24 - 27, 2007 in Minneapolis Oromo Church. The theme of the conference was taken from Matthew 28:19 “Go and make disciples of all nations.”  The conference was an impressive and moving experience for all those in attendance.  Read more •
We praise the Lord for what He is doing in our churches. It is beyond what we can express when we see back from where we started the journey, see at the present of what He is doing and also the future of our church.When we hear and read all what He did and is doing, we simply remember what the prophet Zechariah said " ...Not by might nor by power ,but by my spirit ...". The 13th Annual United Oromo Evangelical Churches Spiritual Conferences will be held from July 24 - 27, 2008 in Minneapolis, MN.

Speakers, honorable guests from partner churches, choirs and soloist from Oromo Churches in the United States, Europe and from the homeland, will be invited to serve on the conference.   Read more •
In the past several years it has been a great challenge to get the Oromo bible reprinted. The Ethiopian Bible Society, the responsible body, for the printing has shown less cooperation for years in bringing this project to completion. In some places members of our churches make copies of each page of the bible to attempt in meeting the high demands of the Oromo bibles. Read more •
As we all know there are thousands of Oromo refugees in  Kenya waiting for their resettlement in  Australia and other Western countries. It is not difficult to imagine how life is so tough for those refugees in  East Africa even in a normal circumstance. But the current difficult condition in  Kenya made life worse for our refugee in that country Read more •
The last five years or so have been difficult, full of bumps and very though time for the ministry of most of Oromo churches around the world.  Most of our churches have suffered a lot from internal conflicts and separations. Many hearts were broken as a result and many Oromos withdrew their membership from churches in several places and decided not to be part of our churches and others joined non-Oromo churches. Re: UOEC Board Meeting and relocation of the office:
The United Oromo Evangelical Churches (UOEC) Board had its first meeting on October 13, 2007 after our council meeting in Minneapolis, MN last summer. It was a whole day meeting from early morning to 8PM. The meeting was hosted by the Oromo church of Minnesota.  Read more •
